President’s Letter – September, 2007Greetings Fellow Skålleagues! Our September meeting was held at the Hilton Deerfield Beach/Boca Raton. Thanks go to David Comerota the General Manager of the Hilton Deerfield Beach for making the evening a most enjoyable one. From the cocktail/hors d'oeuvre reception thru the great dessert no one left hungry. We were also able to enjoy the company of Andy, the corporate executive chef for the owners. After dinner David introduced the hotels chef, sous chef and the service staff to a round of applause. At the dinner we were honored to have fellow skalleague Dotty Tarbox, who as a member of the Tampa Bay club gave the opening toast. With the club 49 members strong we acknowledged the presence of 3 individuals, David Comerota, Llana Gros, and Serena Hoermann who have declared themselves perspective members. We are continuing to grow. Those of you who have not logged on to our website recently, www.skal-ftlauderdale-palmbeaches.org, are encouraged to do so and to check out the pictures of our great September meeting.
