Dear Fellow Skalleagues,
Fall was in full swing at our October meeting which was held at the Mai-Kai Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. The entire staff of the Mai-Kai helped to make this a fun evening which was enjoyed by all who attended. The Mai-Kai was in her finest form starting with our cocktail party outside by the waterfall, “back of the house” tours, and the Polynesian Dinner/Show where our own, Carlos Banks got into the “swing” of things and was the highlight of the evening. Ask Carlos and check our web-site if you want more details!!
Twenty five members and guests were in attendance. The opening toast was presented by Carlos Banks and the closing toast was presented by Art Stark.
We were extremely pleased to have 6 guests in attendance including:
- Isabel Banks – Guest of Carlos Banks
- Isabel Doyle – Guest of Carlos Banks
- Jonathan Banks – Guest of Carlos Banks
- Al & Anne Walleser – SKAL Miami
- Judy Berlin – Guest of Peter Berlin
- Marilyn Falkow – Guest of Bernie Falkow
Carlos Banks and Wayne Lampert will be attending the SKAL International / World Congress, October 31 – November 6 in Budapest. The Board of Directors unanimously voted Carlos as our club's official designate for the Congress.
