Happy Holidays from your Board of Directors!

What a fabulous dinner and evening at Benvenuto’s for our Annual Holiday Party!!

Members, NEW Members and Guests had a fun time sharing the holiday spirit, dancing and "bidding"!

Those in attendance enjoyed a fun “spin” on our opening and closing toasts! … The newly elected President of SIUSA and OUR very own, Carlos Banks opened with the toast in English. That was followed by NEW transfer member Lupe Castillo in Spanish and guest Wolfgang Gebell in German. Carlos Banks introduced our new transfer member’s: Lupe Castillo, Jerry Eastep, Steve Eastep and Melissa Araya, who recently transferred from the Miami club. Guest Julie Gordon, from the Boston Club was welcomed and Carlos Banks presented her our club's banner for her home club. Self-introductions by members and guests followed.

Throughout the evening members and guests enjoyed dancing to the sounds of Bill De Renzo and the active bidding for "silent auction" items was enjoyed by all. We want to send everyone’s special thoughts and prayers to our members who are dealing with serious health issues: Scotty Cassidy, Al Walleser, Bob Kirshbaum, Ben Murphy and Joyce Schoonenberg Reed.

THANK YOU TO Dick Stafford, James Hansen, Jawayne Keyser and Becky Reincke for all that you did to make our Holiday Party a HUGE SUCCESS!!

The closing toast was presented by NEW transfer member Jerry Eastep in English followed by Jawayne Keyser in French and Nicola Ianonne in Italian.

Your Board of Directors continues to be focused on increasing our membership and we ask that you contact industry friends and invite them to our meetings. We are also making every effort to plan to have interesting topics of discussion at future meetings. Should you have a topic / guest that you would like to include in our consideration, please do share that info with Dick Stafford, rwstaff@bellsouth.net or Becky Reincke, becky.reincke@otodevelopment.com. Don’t forget to let your Board of Directors know if you have suggestions for meeting locations / meeting enhancements / other fun and interesting ideas! We really would like your in-put!

Let’s all work together to make 2014 the best year ever for Skål Ft. Lauderdale & Palm Beaches!! See you on January 21st at Primavera in Ft. Lauderdale & don’t forget to bring a guest / potential new member!!
