Happy Holidays

Once again we enjoyed our “Annual Holiday Party” at Benvenuto’s. The great food and excellent service was appreciated by everyone!

I would like to thank our members, prospective members and guests for making this one of the best holiday parties ever! It was a night to remember with the sounds of laughter and the “Happy Feet” on the dance floor while we enjoyed the music of Bill DeRenzo! Our “Silent and Live Auction” was once again a huge success as James Hansen brought everyone into the action with his incredible descriptions and wit as our MC! The enthusiasm was contagious as we fought for the highest bid! Thank you James and all of you who donated an auction item to our auctions! We raised approximately $2,700!

I would like to share a comment from a guest of another Skal Club who joined us for our party. He said he enjoyed the evening so much because he saw everything Skal represents. That should mean a lot to us because not all clubs have what we have! This is why we won 3rd place for “Skal Club of the Year 2014/15” out of over 400 clubs around the world! We all need to embrace this honor and grow even stronger from it!

Our membership is growing because YOU continue to bring prospective members to our meetings! Thank you!!! We can’t do what we do without you!

Your Board is planning another exciting year for you in 2016 so please make every effort to attend if you’re in town! You won’t want to miss our January 19th meeting at the Riverside Hotel on E. Las Olas Blvd. in Ft. Lauderdale! As a reminder, if you do need to cancel due to illness or travel schedules, please notify us as soon as possible because venues require a count in advance. It is becoming a financial strain on our club with no shows each month.
