Happy Holidays Fellow Skålleagues!

We held our annual holiday dinner at the beautiful Delray Sands Resort in Highland Beach last week, and a lovely event it was! We enjoyed a fun evening in the banquet room overlooking the ocean. We were able to relax and catch up with friends, old and new, during our cocktail reception, followed by a most delicious dinner. It was a pleasure to see all who were able to attend. For our friends who were not able to attend, you were missed.

During the evening, our friend and entertainer, Bill De Renzo, treated us to cheerful holiday music and many other favorite songs. We'd like to give a special thanks to James Hansen for being an entertaining and engaging Master of Ceremonies, as always! Bill & James, thank you for adding your personality and humor as the group engaged in the silent and live auction! Everyone looks forward to your charm, each year!

As the winners of the silent auction were announced, we also held a wine pull and a live auction for additional items. Congratulations to the lucky few who acquired the vintage Skål Palm Beaches Polo Shirts! Thank you for all who attended, participated, and donated their time and efforts to making this a wonderful event for all. And thank you to members that brought guests, as they are always a very welcome addition to our group of friends!

The funds we were able to raise will surely boost our club into the New Year, by being able to plan more fun occasions in 2019, and supporting our Skal friends around the world. We are looking forward to 2019 with tremendous optimism, fun venues and events & new Skål members. If you have ideas on making our chapter even more interesting and fun, chat with one of our friendly board members. We look forward breathing fresh concepts to our organization to continue to keep our chapter growing strong.

In future news, our next dinner will be on January 8, 2019 at the Doubletree Hotel in Deerfield Beach. It is the Installation of Officers, when you will have the opportunity to welcome your 2019 Executive Board and Directors. We will also celebrate our new members!
