MINUTES
Meeting called to order at 5:09PM
In attendance: Cindy Christen, Dick Stafford, Paul Cook, Paul Alterman
Sandy Saposnick, Ron Stevens, Bill Pullen, Mike Gulotty

Not Attending: Lee Smolinski, Gary Cole, Denis Herron
The meeting was called to order at 5:15pm.
The reading of the minutes of the last meeting were accepted, motion made by Ron Stevens and seconded by Dick Stafford.
Treasurers Report: Cash on Hand $6,719.53
It was agreed that Mike Gulotty will conduct the annual audit in accordance with the SKAL Bylaws.
Unanimously agreed to donate $500.00 on behalf of the club to the tsunami relief charity.
Extensive discussion regarding the outstanding dues owed the club and agreed that we will remove from the roster all
members in arrears by January 31st. Motion made by Bill Pullen and seconded by Sandy Saposnick.
Resignations from the club were made by Gail Freedman and Denis Herron.
Programs: February meeting to be held at Benvenuto’s restaurant in Boynton Beach.
In addition to the regular March meeting we have a tentative luncheon
invitation by Sandy Saposnick aboard the MSC Lirica on March 31st in
Port Everglades to include potential members from the Broward County area.
Membership: Carlos Banks will attempt to recruit more members from the southern part
of Palm Beach County and Broward.
Stephen Barofsky requested transfer from Miami to Palm Beach SKAL
has been approved by Palm Beach and Miami and is awaiting approval
from Spain.
Media/PR: Payment for the new web designer and web maintenance was submitted
($500), motion to approve by Paul Alterman and seconded by Ron
Stevens.
New Business: Encourage membership to submit a profile and link on our website to
gain more networking capability.
Bill Pullen suggested mixed seating at meetings to enable more
interaction between members.
It was also suggested that the club feature a member of the month on the
website including a photo of the member.
A motion to adjourn made by Paul Alterman and seconded by Paul Cook
