MINUTES
Meeting called to order at 5:09
In attendance: Cindy Christen, Dick Stafford, Paul Cook, Lee Smolinski, Bill Pullen, Denis Herron, Ron Stevens, arriving late: Gary Cole & Mike Gulotty
Not Attending: Sandy Saposnick
Reading of the minutes waived and accepted, Motion Ron Stevens, seconded Denis Herron.
Treasurers Report: Cash on Hand $6,152.38
Budget Proposal for 2005 amended and accepted Motion Paul Cook Seconded Lee Smolinski
Unanimously agreed to discontinue payment of dues/meals by credit card. Checks & Cash only. Motion Bill Pullen,
Seconded Lee Smolinski
SIUSA Conference attended by Bill Pullen….highlights:
Conference was held in Durban, South Africa and Bill indicated the South Africans did a great job. 163 Clubs represented.
Various classifications were amended and expanded upon such as Young SKAL members, acceptance of the category of Restaurants, Guidelines will follow.
Travel Insurance representatives if solely involved in selling Travel Insurance.
Certain issues regarding Life Members was also on the agenda with details to follow.
Indonesia received the EcoTourism Award.
Future Congresses will be in: Zagreb, Thailand, Turkey and Taiwan
PROGRAMS - Dick Stafford
The Holiday Party will be held on December 21st at the Radisson Bridge Hotel, Black Tie optional. Auction items are needed,
all donations accepted.
January meeting will be at the City Place Marriott
Regarding Emails, addresses, phone numbers and the need to update the roster. I have emailed the following members
requesting their assistance in this matter: Tim Digby, Wayne Lampert and David Shinney.
Emails will be going out to the membership again reiterating the need to personally update their information.
Website will be handled by Dick Stafford (Susan Smith), Lee will turn over the site to Dick who will apply the monthly charge
to his credit card ($10.00).
Nominations for the 2005 elections will be advised by Lee Smolinski.
Meeting adjourned at 6:38pm.
