NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING

On September 21, 2004, the Board of Directors of Skal International Palm Beaches unanimously voted to hold an extraordinary general meeting for the purpose of amending our by-laws.

The Board of Directors recommend unanimously to the general membership that our by-laws be amended to the following:

CHANGE OF CLUB NAME

The continued success of our club depends upon new membership. If we continue under the status quo our club will not survive long-term. The Board of Directors has decided unanimously that the time has come for change.

The Board of Directors believes that a name change to Skal International Fort Lauderdale & the Palm Beaches would correctly reflect the inclusiveness of our boundaries. Many potential members in Broward County will not join our club for two reasons:

Our name does not reflect Fort Lauderdale or Broward and therefore, there is no interest in joining just a Palm Beach club. We have not held any meetings in Broward.

The Board of Directors urges you to be present to vote at this very important meeting. A vote FOR this change is the unanimous recommendation of your Board of Directors.
